In order to comply with the principles of fair information practices, the following discloses the information gathering methods and intentions for use for this website: JB Lawfloridalaw.com. We want you to understand:

  • With whom the information will be shared
  • This site’s policy on correcting and updating personally identifiable information

Information Gathered/Use of Information

The JB LAW website uses online forms for visitors to request information from or a consultation with JB LAW. When you fill out one of these online contact forms on the website, you may be asked to provide certain personal information including your name, address, e-mail, and phone number. After you fill out this form, your message is automatically forwarded to JB LAW, and your contact information is saved in a database.

JB LAW uses the information that it collects about you to improve your browsing experience by personalizing JB LAW’s websites to your interest, and also to help JB LAW select content and services that you may find interesting and useful. Information about the content you visit and services you use may be used alone or in conjunction with information collected from other users to help JB LAW tailor our website to better suit the needs and interests of you and other users.

Information that you provide may also be used as part of JB LAW’s effort to keep you informed about events and selected products and services that may be of interest to you. In some cases, JB LAW may contact you with information from carefully selected third parties, but JB LAW will not provide information to third parties for such purposes. In other cases, your information might be shared with a third party pursuant to a process that contemplates such sharing but which you knowingly initiate.

JB LAW’s website collects certain information about visitors, even when they are not logged in. JB LAW may record your IP address, the URLs of the websites and pages you visit (before, during and after your visit to JB LAW’s website), the times and dates of such visits, information about the computer hardware and software you use and other information that may be available. Also, JB LAW may place “cookies” on your computer to recognize you on return visits to enable JB LAW to enhance your browsing experience, as well as to collect additional information about you. You may adjust your browser settings or use other means to prevent cookies from being placed on your computer, but doing so may result in reduced functionality and a less personalized browsing experience.

JB LAW also collects potentially personally-identifying information that is collected by Google Analytics. The analytics feature JB LAW has implemented is based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the Doubleclick Campaign Manager Integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting). Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customer Display Network ads using Ads Settings. JB LAW will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected from Google Display Advertising features that is based on the DoubleClick cookie unless JB LAW has robust notice of, and the user’s prior affirmative (i.e., opt-in) consent to, that merger. At any time, visitors may choose to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. JB LAW uses the Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting feature to identify trends in the usage of its website which may be published in reports for internal use.

Web pages may contain electronic images (called a “single-pixel GIF” or “Web beacon”) that allow a Website to count users who have visited that page or to access certain cookies. JB LAW uses Web beacons (i) in order to count users and to recognize users by accessing JB LAW cookies, (ii) to count and recognize users who have read emails sent by JB LAW, and (iii) to personalize your experience when you visit the Website.

JB LAW provides services that allow users to access and customize Internet content through mobile phones, PDAs and other alternative devices. These devices may collect different information than what is collected by computers. When connecting to JB LAW using a mobile device that provides Internet access, if the mobile device service provider uniquely identifies the device, JB LAW will receive this information. JB LAW may use this unique mobile device identification information to offer extended services and/or functionality. Certain JB LAW services may require collection of the phone number for your device. JB LAW may associate that phone number to the mobile device identification information.

Some mobile phone service providers in the United States are required to operate a system that will pinpoint the physical location of devices that use their service. Depending on the provider and if you are located in the United States, JB LAW may automatically receive this information. JB LAW may use and store this information to provide enhanced location-based services as well as to serve location-targeted advertising.
